Joseph Lacoursiere, 56, passed away on April 28, 2026, in Waterbury Hospital, Waterbury CT after a long battle with COPD.

Memorial Service for Joseph Lacoursiere will be held at a later time for family and friends.

Joseph cherished his life in Litchfield, CT, where he lived surrounded by the people he loved most. The rural landscape felt like home to him - a place where he could care for the many animals on the property and watch the wildlife that wandered through. His mornings were sacred: sitting outside with a cup of coffee, taking in the peace and stillness that grounded him.

In his younger years, Joseph chased adventure on the slopes, traveling across Connecticut, New Hampshire, and nearby states in search of the biggest mountains he could find. He also found joy in the water, returning to Oswego, NY every year for the salmon run with his lifelong friends - a tradition that meant as much for the companionship as the fishing itself.

Family was the heart of Joe's world. He spent the last thirteen years of his life deeply connected to his mom, sister, nieces, and nephews, with a special bond shared with his nephew Vincent. Those everyday moments with them were his greatest treasures.

Above all, Joe was defined by his unwavering work ethic. He took immense pride in his years at Stop & Shop, working tirelessly and with a dedication that spoke volumes about his character.

Joseph lived a life filled with love, loyalty, and simple joys - and the people who knew him carry those memories forward with full hearts.
